Cookie Policy
PARASCALAR
Last updated: 3 August 2026
1. The short version
We use almost nothing.
- No advertising cookies. None.
- No cross-site tracking. We don't follow you around the internet.
- Our analytics set no cookies and store nothing on your device.
- The only things stored in your browser are a language preference and, if you use the diagnostic form, a temporary auto-save of your progress so a page refresh doesn't lose your answers.
- The booking calendar on our call page sets its own cookies, but only after you choose to load it. Nothing loads until you click.
Because nothing non-essential is stored before you act, this site does not need a cookie consent banner. This page explains everything we do store, so you can verify that claim yourself.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. "Similar technologies" include localStorage, a way for a site to save information in your browser without setting a cookie. Both are covered by this policy, and both are readable and deletable by you at any time through your browser settings.
3. What this site stores
3.1 Set by us
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE |
Cookie (first-party) | Remembers whether you are viewing the site in English or Spanish | Until you close your browser (session) |
parascalar.diagnostic.session.v2 |
localStorage (first-party) | Auto-saves your progress on the diagnostic form so a refresh or interruption doesn't lose your answers | Up to 7 days; cleared when you submit the form |
Both are functional. Neither identifies you, tracks you, or is shared with anyone.
3.2 Set by third parties, only if you load the booking calendar
Our call page contains a booking calendar provided by Cal.com (EU service, app.cal.eu). It does not load automatically. It loads only when you choose to open it, and at that point it sets:
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm |
Cloudflare (via Cal.com) | Bot and abuse protection for the booking service | ~30 minutes |
Session cookies (__Secure-…) |
Cal.com | Making the booking function work (session integrity, security) | Until you close your browser |
These are the booking tool's own cookies, governed by Cal.com's privacy documentation. If you'd rather not receive them, simply don't load the calendar, you can contact us by email instead.
3.3 Security on our forms
Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which verifies you're human without the puzzle-solving of traditional CAPTCHAs. It may use temporary browser storage strictly necessary for that security check. It does not track you and is not used for advertising.
3.4 Analytics, nothing stored
We measure site traffic with a cookieless analytics tool (Vercel Web Analytics). It stores nothing on your device, no cookies, no localStorage, no fingerprinting identifiers persisted in your browser. Traffic is measured in aggregate. Details of the analytics processing are in our Privacy Policy, section 3.8.
4. What we deliberately don't use
No advertising or retargeting pixels. No social media tracking buttons. No cross-site identifiers. No third-party analytics cookies. If we ever introduce anything in these categories, for example, if we run advertising campaigns in future, we will add a consent mechanism first and update this policy before anything changes.
5. Managing storage yourself
- Cookies: every browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies in its privacy settings. Blocking our two first-party items won't break the site, you'd simply lose your language preference and form auto-save.
- localStorage: cleared through the same browser privacy settings ("clear site data").
- The booking calendar: its cookies only exist if you load it. Choosing not to load it is the control.
6. Legal basis
The language preference and form auto-save are used as strictly necessary functional storage under the ePrivacy rules, they exist solely to provide features you actively use, and they are not used for any other purpose. The booking calendar's cookies are set following your action in choosing to load it. Our full data-processing details, legal bases, and your rights are in the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes
If what we store changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top is updated. A change that introduced non-essential storage would be accompanied by a consent mechanism before going live.
